Every Stuent Empowered, Every Student Succeeds

  • High School Diploma: Stanhope Elmore High School
  • B.S. Degree: Auburn University Montgomery
  • Masters in Elementary Education: Auburn University Montgomery

Experience, Experience, Experience! When it comes to experience, I can truly say that I have experience. As a young adult, I dreamed of becoming a teacher.  In order to do so, I entered Auburn University Montgomery. After a couple of years of studying and fine tuning my craft, I decided that it was time to venture out into the world of teaching. I began to work as a substitute teacher in the Elmore County School System. Shortly thereafter, I became an intern here at Wetumpka Elementary School. It was a great experience, and I loved every moment.  Upon completion of my degree, I took a position as a second grade teacher at Robinson Springs Elementary School. It was also a great experience, and I loved teaching all of those students. However, after completing the school year I was hired here as a third grade teacher. It has been wonderful . I look forward to many more!

My Life!

There comes a time in everyone's life when they hear- Can you tell me a little about yourself? For most people, this may be difficult to answer. However, in this biography I plan to tell you who I am.

My name is Erica Humphrey. I was born and raised in Millbrook, Alabama. I am the youngest of five children. I have two brothers and two sisters. Being the youngest has its advantages and disadvantages. If you are the youngest, then you know what I mean.

Since I was born and raised in Millbrook, I attended school in the Elmore County School District. After completing high school at Stanhope Elmore High School, I enrolled into a great college and worked tirelessly to earn my degree. Reaching this point was a pivotal moment for me as well as my family. After graduating from school, I was faced with another challenge. I know what you are thinking- Graduate School. However, you are wrong.  I had to plan a wedding! In June of 2004, I married my husband. We live in Millbrook, and we have been married for years now. We have twin girls.  They keep us very busy.  Although they keep us busy, I like to travel and visit exotic destinations. I have been to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Canada, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and several beautiful states that make up our country. I also love reading and studying anything that involves medicine.   When I am not traveling or reading about medicine, I spend my time researching new ideas about education. Doing this ensures that my students will receive the best education possible. From my perspective, I believe that I have a good life. I enjoy every moment!
