"Hunting For Good Behavior "

   2009-2010

Good Slips can be given from the child's homeroom teacher reading teacher, principal, assistant principal(s), counselor(s), custodians, lunchroom workers, office workers, media specialist, aides, bus drivers, etc. The amount of Good Slips needed to receive a Wristband are as follows:

Kindergarten students will need at least 6

First Grade students will need at least 7

Second Grade students will need at least 8

Third Grade students will need at least 9

Fourth Grade students will need at least 10

*These numbers will increase after the first Good Slip Party.

*First Wristband Day will be on Sept. 11

The students are given Good Slips for displaying positive behavior characteristics.  Our three major rules at WES are: Respect Self, Respect Others, and Respect Property.

When a student breaks one of the school rules, child will receive a Minor Behavior slip (on the back of the Good Slip) from the individual who witnessed this inappropriate behavior.  If a student receives one minor behavior slip, one Good Slip should be taken away from the student.

It is important to communicate to the students that they must obtain a designated amount of Good Slips to receive a wrist band & to attend the Good Slip Parties once each nine weeks. After students receive their Wristband- a new number count will start to get ready for the next Wristband Day.

This program starts with the parents, teachers, principals, assistant principal(s), counselor, office staff, custodians, and other para-professionals. WE MUST ALL BE ON BOARD WITH THIS PROGRAM IF WE WANT IT TO WORK. Do not allow a student to go to The Good Slip Party if he/she has not earned a Wristband each time. This has been a problem in the past, we area village & WE ALL MUST WORK TOGETHER!!

*Students were talked to about Good Slips during P.E. time with Ms. Sanders on August 25, 2009.
