Principal's Corner

Dr. Bonnie Sullivan

It's Going to Be a Great Year!
It's Going to Be a Great Year!

It is an honor to be the Principal at Wetumpka Elementary School. I am very blessed to have this opportunity to serve in the community that laid the foundation for both my personal and professional life. As a graduate of Wetumpka High School and a former teacher and administrator of Wetumpka Elementary School, I feel very honored and blessed to be part of the Wetumpka Community working together to help prepare our students to become responsible and productive citizens for our society. It means a lot to come back to a wonderful school that I once attended! I had many, many talented teachers at WES and I look forward to working with the faculty, staff, students, and parents this year!

My philosophy of education and leadership includes the following: I believe in setting high standards for all students, teachers, parents, and stakeholders in the school setting. We strive together for excellence in education for the school, district, and community. It is important to be a "team player" and collaborate with my colleagues and administration to collectively broaden the educational opportunities for all children. We must have an appreciation for the fact that all children must be challenged to meet their individual potential and also held accountable for their actions in the classroom.

I truly believe that working together, we can make a difference! It’s going to be a great year!

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact WES at (334) 567-4323, we will be happy to help you.
